Our Church and School Staff
Senior Pastor:
Greg Wright
Pastor Greg Wright grew up in West Virginia and came to know the Lord at the age of twelve. Having Godly parents, he was encouraged to seek and do the Lord’s will for his life. In 1987 he graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelors degree in Bible and went on to complete his Masters degree in Pastoral Studies in 1989. He then worked at Morningside Baptist Church in Greenville, SC as the assistant pastor until 1993. While there, Pastor Wright also helped develop a new missions board called Open Door Baptist Missions. Having been led by the Lord, he and his family moved to St. George in the Fall of 1993 to start Westside Baptist Church.

Associate Pastor:
Jeremy Hargis
When God called Pastor Jeremy to St. George, He called him back to the West. Originally from Colorado, he left the West for Bible college. While at Northland Baptist Bible College he studied Youth Ministries and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following graduation he became a staff member at Northland Camp in Wisconsin for 5 years. From there he joined the faculty of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College as the Dean of Men. While at Pillsbury he also worked toward a master's degree in Biblical Studies from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, which he completed in 2006. Having a love for the local church and a desire to minister on a more long-term level, he and his family moved to St. George in the Summer of 2006 to begin serving the Lord at Westside. As our Associate Pastor, Pastor Jeremy is a "right hand man" to Pastor Greg. His enthusiasm for fun and love for the Lord spill over into his church ministries, and those under his teaching and leadership cannot help but enjoy furthering their spiritual walk.

Mrs.:
Lois Cottam
Lois Cottam grew up in West Virginia, but has been in Utah serving the Lord since 1989. She has a heart for Christian education and has sacrificed greatly over the years to be in small, multi-grade Christian schools. Mrs. Cottam received her degree in education from Bob Jones University in 1983 and has been active in the clssroom since then. Her great organizational skills have allowed her to efficiently balance each school day. She teaches in one day what is equivalent to most teachers covering in one week. Many students have been very blessed to have Mrs. Cottam's influence in their lives, and we feel very privileged to have her on faculty here. Lois is currently teaching grades 7-12.

Mrs.:
Dawn Williams
Dawn Williams grew up in Page, AZ where her parents owned and operated a gas station. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at the age of 8. Because of her family's business, hard work is no stranger to Mrs. Williams. This is very evident in her dedication to her students. Mrs. Williams' teaching career began in 1985 after she finished her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. She returned to Page and taught for 12 years in Kindergarten and First Grade. In 1997 Dawn and her husband of then 16 years, Paul, moved with their three children, Walter, Peter and Mildred, to St. George. It was our privelege to have Mrs. Williams join our faculty in 2000. Her unique ideas and activities continue to inspire her students. Dawn is currently teaching grades 1-3.

Jesus said, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:39-41
